Roberto Alma graduated from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 2008 with a J.D. in Law – achieving a grade of 110/110 – with a thesis on the Legal protection of software.
He was awarded in 2010 – achieving a grade of 110/110 cum laude – a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Law, Theory and Techniques with a thesis on Biometric Passports.
He has been registered with the Rome Bar Role of Trainee Lawyers since January 2009 and has been able to represent clients before the lower courts since February 2010.
His areas of interest are civil law and, in particular, intellectual property law and new technologies law.
He is a co-author of the RAI ZONE publication whose title is: Intangible Riches – Intellectual Property as a factor for acceleration in the audiovisual market (2011).
He contributed to the Operational Guide on Intellectual in Italy published by the Italian Economic Development Ministry, in collaboration with the Tagliacarne Institute (2010).
He is author of the Commentary on articles 80 – 85 of the Italian Copyright law, which is part of the UTET Commentary on Italian Copyright Law (which is in course of being published).
He is author of the article whose title is Public Re-use Licenses – Italian Free Software Conference – Cagliari, June 10-11, 2010.
He has participated as speaker to the conference Renewed Argentina held at LinkCampus – University of Malta (2010).
He participated as speaker to the Italian Free Software Conference, Cagliari, June 10/11 2010 on the topic Public Re-use Licences.
He collaborates with Professor Vincenzo Zeno Zencovich and Giacomo Rojas Elgueta of the Università Roma Tre Communications Law Department, Communications Sciences Faculty.
