Aurelio Richichi specializes in Intellectual Property and Information Technology. He holds a law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and an LLM from King’s College, London.

He was admitted to the Rome Bar in 1998 and is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales since 2002. He is also admitted to practise before the Supreme Court.

He has provided advice and assistance to numerous Italian and multinational corporations operating in a wide range of industries, including publishing, music, entertainment, cinematographic, audiovisual, fashion, cosmetics, aviation, auto-motive, telecommunications, internet, software, radio and television companies.

He worked in 1999 with the Charles Crookes & Jones Solicitors (United Kingdom). From 2000 to 2003 he was an associate with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer at the Milan office. From 2003 to 2006 he was a senior associate with Studio Legale Barzanò & Zanardo, taking part in start-up phase.

Since May of 2006 Aurelio Richichi is founding partner at gmr Avvocati. He has participated to numerous Italian arbitration proceedings as a member of the panel. He is the author of numerous articles, both in Italian and in English, which have been published on specialized reviews and has collaborated with Professor Adrian Sterling (Queen Mary and Westfield College, London) in relation to certain Italian law-related problems dealt with in the book “World Copyright Law” edited by Professor Sterling.

He is a member of different national, European Community and international associations: ALAI-Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale, LES Italy, British Italian Law Association, The European Circuit of the Bar of England and Wales.
